Monet’s Water Lilies:
Painting and collage, using acrylic and watercolour, foam sheet, tissue paper, and corrugated card and potato print.

How to make your artwork of Claude Monet’s Water Lilies at the Garden of Giverny.
Follow these steps below to make your collage:
Step 1: use a an A3 white piece of cartridge or multimedia paper and draw the bridge above the middle and add circles underneath for the water lilies. Draw in lines for the overhanging bushes and trees. Lay a gentle blue watercolour wash over all the picture.
Step 2:
Paint over the blue wash with light yellow acrylic background. This will give a light texture of blue yellow.
Step 3:
Use the fan brush and mix green and white to make light textured marks that look like overhanging branches and leaves.
Step 4:
Colour in the sky and pond with blue acrylic paint,
Step 5:
Paint the lower bank with orange acrylic using a fan brush pointing upwards and dabbing strokes.
Step 6:
Paint the upper branches on the opposite side with orange acrylic.
Step 7:
Draw and cut the bridge to the size and cut the holes of the railings. Use PVA to fix on.
Step 8:
Use a potato, cut in half and use as a print block for the Water lilies.
Step 9:
Paint the potato with green acrylic paint.
Step 10:
Print with the potato.
Step 11:
Print with green, and red for the water lilies.
Step 12:
Complete the collage using corrugated card and tissue paper of different colours, and PVA glue. Wait until the paint has dried before choosing where you want these to g, trimming and cutting to the size you want.
