Mars - The Red planet...
Mars - The Red Planet:
Made using chalk pastels for the planet to show the textures of the planets colour and surface.
Space is acrylic colour mixing blue, black and some red.
Completed with silver foil and sparkles of silver, blue and purple.
Using PVA glue and a fan paint brushes.
Created as a one session project and completed using hairspray to fix the chalk pastel.
Follow these 5 simple steps:
Step 1:
Draw a circle with pen or pencil using a cereal bowl perhaps.
You can use this as a template by printing this out.
Step 2:
Use colour pastels to colour in Mars using orange, light yellow and red.
Step 3:
Colour in the round shape of Mars all the way to the edge, being aware not to overwork with colour.
Step 4: Paint he space background using fan brush or flat brush. Mix blue and black and dab your paintbrush all around the planet. Allow to dry.
Step 5:
To finish add silver foil with PVA glue and add to parts of Mars. Then use colour sparkles with PVA glue for the stars and distant other planets in our solar system.
