Blind Create

Inclusive creative wellbeing sessions for everyone – with or without sight loss, disability or previous artistic experience.

Blind Create offers personalised online art sessions that are accessible, enjoyable and tailored to each individual.

Whether you are completely new to art, living with sight loss, have additional support needs, or simply want to explore your creativity, sessions are designed around your interests, capabilities and preferred pace.

Blind Create is more than an art class. It is a creative wellbeing experience that uses art to encourage confidence, participation, self-expression and a sense of achievement.

Every session is person-centred and adaptable, focusing on what each person can do and creating meaningful opportunities to feel engaged, uplifted and connected through creativity.

Blind Create is suitable for:

• People who are blind or partially sighted

• Older adults and care home residents

• Individuals with additional support needs

• People who want to explore creativity in an accessible way

• Families, carers, charities and community groups

What makes Blind Create different?

Each session is person-centred and follows a familiar, reassuring structure.

Sessions begin with a friendly wellbeing check-in and a conversation about how the person is feeling and what they would like to achieve.

Activities are then adapted to suit the individual's:

• Level of sight

• Interests and hobbies

• Confidence levels

• Dexterity and physical abilities

• Preferred pace of learning

The emphasis is not on producing a perfect piece of artwork, but on creating an uplifting, meaningful and enjoyable experience that supports:

• Wellbeing

• Confidence

• Capability

• Self-expression

• Creativity

• A sense of achievement

Current Partnership – PAMIS Wellbeing Art Group

I currently deliver weekly online art sessions in partnership with PAMIS as part of their Wellbeing Group programme.

These sessions take place every Monday from 11am–12pm and provide an inclusive, creative space where participants can explore art, build confidence and enjoy expressing themselves at their own pace.

The sessions are designed around each person's capabilities, encouraging participation, creativity and a sense of achievement in a supportive environment.

Visit the Artists Gallery to see examples of artwork created during these online sessions.

Sensory art sessions

Sessions are £30 for 30 mins.

30 mins on a weekday afternoon - Time and Date TBC

For children and adults who want to get messy and or get back to basics.

These are short sessions aimed at the sensory side of art, for those with disabilities and those who are able too.

It’s about using household items around you like baking dough, plastercene, or clay:

  • Experience their textures by touch, smell, sounds they make and their smells.

  • Pasting, painting, printing, squashing, rolling, kneading, etc.
