This is a mobile collage of a dragon magician. Designed and made for the charity Pamis and the Edinburgh International Book Festival event being held on Sat 9 Aug 2025 between 11.30-3pm.
Pamis are holding this event at St.Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral Hall in Edinburgh where members can display their artwork of ‘The Dragon Magician’.
This is what you’ll need:
5 templates - print and cut.
PVA glue
Scissors
A4 Colour and black card.
A4 Colour corrugated card
A4 colour foam sheets.
Sparkles and Bobbly eyes
Colour paper clips
Sprinkle sparkles, bobbly eyes
Anything else that’s around the house such as cotton wool, buttons, shoe laces etc.

How to make it:
How to make it in 10 steps:
Step 1:
Templates:
Print out and cut around the outlines.
Step 2:
Cut the shapes out of coloured card, or coloured foam sheets.
Follow the outlines with the scissors.
Step 3:
Cut around outline of colour card or foam sheets.
Step 5:
Cutting triangular scales shapes:
Step 6:
Pasting the shapes on:
Step 7:
Cut a bow tie shapes out of corrugated card then paste it on.
Paste on goggly eyes too:
Step 8:
Paste on PVA glue to the body.
Then sprinkle glitter on or draw it on with glitter pen:
Step 9:
Cut out bunny rabbit and paste onto top hat.
Use string to place and paste onto top hat:
Step 10:
Cut and paste on corrugated card to wing.
Cut and paste pointy scales onto head with corrugated card":
Finally pop holes into various parts of the dragons body and use paper clips to link the features together.
You now have a dragon magician that’s conjuring a rabbit out of the hat!
The Great dragons-
Painted with acrylic.
To complete it- put in on a white background and put it up on your wall. Then perhaps give your dragon magician a name like:
